Brand New Ridetech Coilover Suspension System and Wilwood Disc Brake Kit, including StrongArms Control Arms & Trailing Arms, MuscleBar Sway Bars, 11" Rotors, Brake Calipers, Brake Lines, Parking Brake Cable Kit, and more (Part #11320201-11).

This Coilover System is specifically designed to lower the 1978-1988 GM “G” Body Platform and includes everything needed to create modern drivability from vintage muscle. The package contains front upper and lower control arms, front and rear MuscleBar, rear StrongArms and 4 HQ Series Coilovers. The benefit of buying a complete suspension system is that it takes all of the guesswork out when purchasing a new suspension. Ridetech has spent hours collecting data to find a perfect spring rate and components for your vehicle’s performance and ride quality. 1978-1988 GM “G” Body includes Monte Carlo, Cutlass, El Camino, Grand National, Grand Prix, Malibu and Regal.

Complete System Includes:

• Front Upper and Lower StrongArms:
  • What says "performance" more than a set of tubular control arms! After all of the time and effort expended on your ride, you definitely can’t let your stamped oem control arms detract from all that work. Finish your suspension off with these new tubular control arms. Built with all of the care and experience you have come to expect from us, these tubular control arms are a precision-engineered solution for ball joint binding and frame clearance issues that can haunt some vehicles. When you combine the performance benefits with the elegant design of these arms, there is no better choice on the market.
  • Development:
    • StrongArms are developed by Ridetech in Jasper, Indiana, on an actual running, driving vehicle. This allows us to properly address ALL fitment and performance issues. It also allows us to document an installation, demonstrate the installation to our sales techs, and allows ongoing evaluation of the performance of the StrongArms.
  • Design:
    • Ridetech think the best way to design any component is to keep it simple. That is why Strong Arms are designed with as few components as possible. The new 4-axis tubing bender allows precise, repeatable bends that no other machine can achieve. We can create elegant tubing bends that would otherwise require several separate welded components.
    • Lower arms feature a unique design that combines the control and strut rod into a stronger, more appealing 1 piece design. Additional caster is designed into the arms and includes a robust bearing in an aluminum housing at the front mount to replace the soft factory rubber units.
  • Components:
    • powder-coated in a satin black finish and completely assembled with ball joints and bushings. To reduce all stiction from the suspension movement, Injection Molded Delrin Bushings are used. These bushings are also impregnated with Teflon, which eliminates the need for lubrication.
  • Geometry:
    • Geometry of a suspension starts with the position of the frame mounts and the height of the spindle, not the shape of the control arm. However, there are a few small things in control arm design that can make a big difference in how a vehicle drives and performs.
      • The upper ball joint have been moved back to allow for additional caster setting to improve high speed stability and steering feel.
      • Billet cross shafts are included that feature a lowered mounting point to increase camber gain and correct suspension geometry.
      • They house a stout double sheer lower shock mount.
  • StrongArms are optimized to allow proper camber adjustment at your new lowered ride height without using a large stack of shims.
  • Includes outer tie rods and billet tie rod adjusters
    
• Front and Rear MuscleBar Sway Bars:
  • Ridetech has upgraded the traditional notion of sway bars with the new MuscleBar. Using precision CNC tubing benders, investment cast bar ends and billet aluminum frame mounts with low friction bushings, Ridetech can now produce sway bars with unheard of dimensional and rate accuracy.

  • Low friction frame bushings allow easy and predictable rotation over the stiction of polyurethane or rubber
  • Precision CNC bent tubing for accurate and repeatable fitment. Investment cast steel bar ends offer performance and appearance improvements over the traditional “beat it flat and punch a hole in it” manufacturing
  • Easy to install end links with barrel lock nuts to prevent over-tightening. The bushing contour matches the concave bar end to reduce bind
  • Adjustable rate with sliding mount for a 200-350 lb adjustment range on the rear.
