BRAND NEW HOOKER COMPETITION LONG TUBE HEADERS, PAINTED BLACK, 3" COLLECTORS, 1.875" PRIMARY TUBES, 383-440 CHRYSLER BIG BLOCK, COMPATIBLE WITH 1966-1974 CHARGER

HOOKER COMPETITION HEADERS ARE DESIGNED FOR THE VALUE-CONSCIOUS BUYER WHO IS RUNNING EITHER A "STOCK" OR "MILDLY-MODIFIED" ENGINE. THEY ARE MADE OF DURABLE 16 GAUGE MILD STEEL TUBING & UTILIZE A LONG TRANSITION COLLECTOR TO REDUCE BACK PRESSURE & INCREASE EXHAUST FLOW.

A PERFECT SEALING SURFACE IS ASSURED WITH THE 5/16" MACHINED FLANGES, WITH WELDED O-RING SEALS. EXPERIENCE HAS PROVEN THAT THIS FLANGE SIZE IS IDEAL TO MAINTAIN HEADER INTEGRITY & BE PLIABLE ENOUGH TO SEAL EACH EXHAUST PORT. TUBING IS MANDREL-BENT TO MAINTAIN METAL STRENGTH & PROVIDE CONSISTENT TUBE DIAMETER AT RADII TO MAXIMIZE PERFORMANCE.

NOTE: DOES NOT INCLUDE REDUCERS. WILL NOT FIT MOTORS EQUIPPED WITH AIR INJECTION PUMP WITHOUT MODIFICATION.

NOTE: BOLTS TO THE POPULAR B-S HEADS. HOWEVER, BECAUSE THE EXHAUST PORT CENTERLINE ON THESE HEADS IS 5/8" HIGHER & 3/8" OUT FROM THE ENGINE CENTERLINE COMPARED TO STOCK HEADS. SOME HEADER MODIFICATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR INSTALL. CUSTOM HEADER APPLICATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR B-1 HEADS DUE TO ANGLED SPARK PLUG LOCATIONS.

NOTE: BREAKING IN AN ENGINE WITH CERAMIC-COATED HEADERS WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE COATING & WILL VOID ALL WARRANTIES. THESE HEADERS REQUIRE SEVERAL HEAT CYCLES TO FULLY CURE BEFORE THEY WILL WITHSTAND EXTREME HEAT.
