Brand New Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold, Small Block Chevy Without Timing Control Module for Gen III LS, Satin Finish (Part #71187).

Features:

  • Edelbrock Performer RPM LS1 intake manifold is designed for the popular Chevrolet LS1 (5.7L) small-block V8 originally used in 1997 and later Corvettes and 1998-02 Camaros and Firebirds
  • Also fits the Corvette LS6 engine and any other Gen III engine including the LM7 (5.3L), LR4 (4.8L), and LQ4 (6.0L)
  • Allows the use of a carburetor on these originally computer-controlled engines, offering maximum power and a broad torque curve from 1500 to 6500 rpm
  • A special throttle and trans bracket that works with 700R-4, 200R-4 and Turbo 350 transmissions is included, making the LS1 engine an easy retro-fit into any muscle car, street rod or marine application.

Installation Notes:
  • Recommended intake gasket: LS1/LS6 style individual port o-ring seals or Edelbrock #7386; Carb Flange height: 4.95"; Manifold Only; Port exit dimensions: .98"x 2.72"; Edelbrock LS1 Timing Control Module #91238 works on LS1 24x reluctor wheel (crank trigger) applications only; LS2 applications with 58x reluctor (crank trigger) requires MSD #6012 ignition controller. LS1 (24x) applications can be recognized by the rear mounted cam (A) LS1 Timing Control Module #91238 works on LS1 24x reluctor wheel (crank trigger) applications only; LS1 (24x) applications can be recognized by the rear mounted cam position sensor which is black in color, while LS2 (58x) cam sensor is mounted in the timing cover and is gray in color.; Crankshaft sleeve #HP3795 and Flexplate #HP4004 is recommended when using a TH350, TH400 or 700R4 on a LS1; Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals, such as Edelbrock High Temp Silicone sealant #1076, DO NOT USE END SEALS GASKETS.; Hardened washers Must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum.; Sealant must be used on intake bolt threads if the threads extend into lifter valley or coolant passage.; NPT/Pipe thread fittings require the use of Teflon tape or paste on threads to ensure proper seal.; DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN NPT/Pipe fittings, this may cause the aluminum to crack around the fitting boss. NPT/Pipe thread is a tapered thread.; Carburetor size (CFM) should be selected based on your specific engine combination.; To ensure maximum performance and a proper seal, Edelbrock gaskets which are specifically designed and manufactured for use with Edelbrock
