Brand New Southwest Speed Aluminum Bellhousing Kit with Throwout Bearing for use with 10 1/2" Clutches with Manual Transmission (Kitted Part #650-39735).

This Southwest Speed Performance Cast Aluminum Bellhousing Kit is a direct reproduction of the original GM part #3858403, stamped with the correct casting number just like the factory unit, making it the perfect choice for restoring early muscle cars or finishing a rod project. Designed for Big Block engines including the 396, 427, and Small Blocks like the 230, 250, 283, 302, 327, and 350 this bellhousing is engineered for use with 153-tooth, 12 3/4" flywheels paired with 10 1/2" clutches. It fits GM transmissions featuring a 4.675" front bearing retainer (O.D.), accepting originals like the Muncie, Saginaw, and T-10, as well as modern bolt-in conversion transmissions. This versatile upgrade allows you to retain your stock 4-speed pedals and linkages while replacing the heavy cast iron housing with a lighter, high-performance aluminum unit for your muscle car or custom project.

Notes:

• Vehicle must have manual transmission and 153 tooth flywheel
• This kit will not fit 1963 and earlier Corvettes due to the smaller size of the front bearing retainer.
• Incompatible with 1977-1978 Malibus due to the angle of the clutch fork.
