Brand New Southwest Speed Shorty Headers, Ceramic Hot Coated, 1-5/8" Tube Diameter, 2.5" Collectors (Part #440-2498).

Southwest Speed headers are the perfect combination of performance and value. This shorty header fits the popular 1964-1/2 to 1973 Ford Mustang, Falcon, Fairlane, Torino, Ranchero, Comet, Cyclone and Montego V8-289/302/5.0L.

NOTE: This application does not fit with Dart Windsor heads or C6 transmissions. For 1964-1966 models the center to center distance between shock towers needs to be at a minimum of 34 7/16-inches

Ceramic Hot Coated Warning:

  • CHC coatings will burn and be damaged at exhaust temperatures over 1300 degrees. A lean fuel mixture can generate exhaust temperatures exceeding 1700-1900 degrees. If the coating is damaged due to a lean condition, the coating will not be warranted, but can be recoated for a fee. No warranty or returns on ceramic hot coated exhaust items once they have been installed.

Header Return Policy:

  • Please refer to the header measurement chart below to make sure the header will fit your vehicle and application before ordering. In the event you order a header that will not fit your vehicle and application, you may return them for a refund, providing you don't damage the header. When you receive the header the finish will be protected and must remain unscratched for a refund. If you bend or dimple any of the tubes or scratch the finish, we will not be able to sell the header and will not be able to process a refund. Use care when trial fitting headers. Repack them well to prevent damage returning them to us. We won't process refunds for scratched, dimpled, dented, or bent headers.
