  • THIS PAIR OF SOUTHWEST SPEED BIG BLOCK CHEVY CHASSIS HEADERS ARE A MUST FOR ANY 1955-1957 CHEVY WITH A BIG BLOCK CHEVY ENGINE SWAP. THE OEM BELL HOUSING FRAME MOUNTS MUST BE REMOVED, AND SOUTHWEST SPEED SIDE ENGINE MOUNTS, & AUTOMATIC REAR TRANSMISSION CROSSMEMBER MUST BE INSTALLED FOR HEADER CLEARANCE. THESE HEADERS ARE GROUND PARALLEL WITH .380" FLANGES ON THE CYLINDER HEAD SURFACE, AND FEATURE 1-7/8" PRIMARY TUBES WITH 3" COLLECTORS, COMPLETE WITH HEADER BOLTS AND GASKETS AND REDUCER BOLTS AND GASKETS. INCLUDES A PAIR OF 3" TO 2 1/2" REDUCERS TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION. THESE HEADERS DO NOT FIT ANGLE-PLUG HEADS.

    • 2. WILL NOT FIT IF THE ENGINE IS LOCATED MORE THAN 3/4" FORWARD FOR FIREWALL/HEI DISTRIBUTOR CLEARANCE.
    • 3. WILL WORK WITH TCI # 725-7005-80 ENGINE MOUNT KIT, AND WITH THE EQUIVALENT DANCHUK MOUNTS.
    • 4. THESE HEADERS ARE DESIGNED TO FIT CARS USING ORIGINAL GM # 3719487 V-8 MANUAL PITMAN ARM, AND WILL NOT FIT GM # 3709877 6 CYLINDER PITMAN ARM NUMBER. AFTERMARKET PITMAN ARMS MUST BE SAME CONFIGURATION AS OE FOR PROPER HEADER FIT.

BE AWARE: EXHAUST COMPONENTS WHICH ARE CHROME PLATED ARE NOW MUCH MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO BLUEING, BLISTERING, PEELING & CORROSION. WE SEE VERY FEW HEADERS THAT DO NOT CHANGE COLOR ONCE EXHAUST TEMPERATURES ARE ACHIEVED. NO WARRANTY OR RETURNS ON CHROME EXHAUST ITEMS ONCE THEY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED.
