Brand New Pair of Southwest Speed Polished Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers for 1963-1982 Corvette's with Small Block Chevy 262-400ci Engines (Part #440-2233).

This Pair of Southwest Speed Small Block Chevy Long Tube Headers offer an immediate increase in performance by eliminating backpressure, improving exhaust flow, and building more horsepower. Constructed from cold-rolled, flash-controlled 16-gauge steel tubing and finished with a black satin paint or silver ceramic heat resistant coating these headers are equipped with an O-ring port seal and 5/16" flanges that are heavy enough to maintain complete integrity, yet pliable enough to create a leak free seal. The consistent tubing diameter contributes to the smooth air flow and greater exhaust velocity of these carefully engineered headers while the precision welded collectors give you a perfect fit. Headers do not have an internal coating.

Notes:

• Must modify stock exhaust to retain catalytic converters.
• Will not fit with A.I.R. pump.
• Installation on vehicles 1978 and earlier with air conditioning will require purchase of 410-5815 bracket.
• 1979 and later vehicles equipped with short compressor will re-use the original bracket.

Polished Stainless Steel Warning:

Stainless header tubing when exposed to exhaust temperature will cause the finish to change color which will vary with the exhaust temperatures. Please note that the finish of the header when the engine is started will change to a light champagne color to a darker gold finish and in some instance may even turn dark blue or purple. This can be polished out when utilizing blue-away or semi-chrome polish, but please note that when the headers reach running temperature, they may change color again. No warranty or returns on polished stainless steel exhaust items once they have been installed.

Header Return Policy:

Please refer to the header measurement chart below to make sure the header will fit your vehicle and application before ordering. In the event you order a header that will not fit your vehicle and application, you may return them for a refund, providing you don't damage the header. When you receive the header the finish will be protected and must remain unscratched for a refund. If you bend or dimple any of the tubes or scratch the finish, we will not be able to sell the header and will not be able to process a refund. Use care when trial fitting headers. Repack them well to prevent damage returning them to us. We won't process refunds for scratched, dimpled, dented, or bent headers.
