Brand New Edelbrock Performer RPM Vortec Intake Manifold For Chevrolet 262-400 Small-Block V8 (Part #7116).

Edelbrock part #7116 Performer RPM Vortec intake manifold is Based on the powerful Edelbrock #7101, this single four-barrel intake is designed for the street rod, marine and engine swap market utilizing 262-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8's with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron or Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads. An external water bypass boss is machined into the front of the water crossover for use on 1996 and later Vortec production engines. Manifold accepts square-bore carbs only. For street and marine engines operating from 1500-6500 RPM, see the Performer Vortec manifold or Performer Vortec EPS. Will not fit under stock Corvette hood.

Installation Notes:
  • Manifold ht: A-4.20", B-5.25" (.70" taller than #2101)
  • Carb pad height: 4.27"
  • Carb recommendations: Edelbrock AVS2 or Performer Series 650-800 cfm. Use bracket #8032 for 1972-78.
  • Port exit dimensions: 2.05" tall with slanted side walls
  • Recommended intake gasket: Edelbrock #7235 or GM #89017465
  • Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals, such as Edelbrock High Temp Silicone sealant #1076, DO NOT USE END SEALS GASKETS.
  • Use #8516 Edelbrock bolt kit
  • Sealant must be used on intake bolt threads if the threads extend into lifter valley or coolant passage.
  • NPT/Pipe thread fittings require the use of Teflon tape or paste on threads to ensure proper seal.
  • DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN NPT/Pipe fittings, this may cause the aluminum to crack around the fitting boss. NPT/Pipe thread is a tapered thread.
  • Hardened washers Must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum.
  • Will not fit under stock Corvette hood.
  • Stock brackets will require modification to fit the upright manifold bolt holes. Use Edelbrock Vortec throttle bracket #8032.
  • Edelbrock does not recommend the use of an economy type carburetor such as the Performer series #1406 or #1411 on Performer RPM Intake Manifolds. Economy type carburetors are calibrated lean for fuel economy and will not perform properly on this style of intake.
