Brand New Ridetech Air Suspension & 4-Link System with Currie 9" Ford Rear End, Southwest Speed Posi-trac 3rd Member, and Wilwood Disc Brake Kit, including Control Arms, Shockwaves, MuscleBar Front Sway Bar, Rotors, Brake Calipers, Power Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, Proportioning Valve, Brake Lines, Parking Brake Cable Kit, and more (Part #11170296-75).

Air Suspension System for 1970-1981 Camaros and Firebirds (GM F-Body). Add air ride adjustable suspension to raise or lower your muscle car at the push of a button. The system includes front and rear HQ Series Shockwaves with adjustable rebound, plus upper and lower StrongArm front control arms, a Bolt-On 4-Link and a front MuscleBar sway bar. Air ride provides ultra-low show stance with modern ride quality and handling. Includes several components that will dramatically improve the suspension geometry to give your old muscle car modern drivability.    

This Currie 9" Ford notch-back rear end comes specifically designed for this package. The Southwest Speed 3rd member is the perfect compliment to the Currie rear end. It comes completely assembled and ready to bolt in the Currie housing, with a 31 spline posi-trac unit, premium ring & pinion, and solid shim set. This kit comes with a 3.70 ratio gear, which is a good cruising ratio. We have ratios from 3.50 to 5.00 that can be substituted in for no additional cost. If you would like a different ratio besides the 3.70, just make sure to request that.

Ridetech System Includes:

  • Front Upper and Lower StrongArms:
    • What says "performance" more than a set of tubular control arms! After all of the time and effort expended on your ride, you definitely can’t let your stamped oem control arms detract from all that work. Finish your suspension off with these new tubular control arms. Built with all of the care and experience you have come to expect from us, these tubular control arms are a precision-engineered solution for ball joint binding and frame clearance issues that can haunt some vehicles. When you combine the performance benefits with the elegant design of these arms, there is no better choice on the market.
    • Development:
      • StrongArms are developed by Ridetech in Jasper, Indiana, on an actual running, driving vehicle. This allows us to properly address ALL fitment and performance issues. It also allows us to document an installation, demonstrate the installation to our sales techs, and allows ongoing evaluation of the performance of the StrongArms.
    • Design:
      • Ridetech think the best way to design any component is to keep it simple. That is why Strong Arms are designed with as few components as possible. The new 4-axis tubing bender allows precise, repeatable bends that no other machine can achieve. We can create elegant tubing bends that would otherwise require several separate welded components.
    • Components:
      • powder-coated in a satin black finish and completely assembled with ball joints and bushings. To reduce all stiction from the suspension movement, Injection Molded Delrin Bushings are used. These bushings are also impregnated with Teflon, which eliminates the need for lubrication.
    • Geometry:
      • Geometry of a suspension starts with the position of the frame mounts and the height of the spindle, not the shape of the control arm. However, there are a few small things in control arm design that can make a big difference in how a vehicle drives and performs.
        • Ridetech creates extra caster potential by adjusting the fore-and-aft position of the ball joints. At the same time, we make sure the wheel is properly positioned in the wheel-well so your new large wheels fit like they should!
        • The ball joint camber travel is re-centered to accommodate the new lowered ride height, so the ball joint doesn’t bind during extreme suspension movement.
        • The perimeter of the StrongArms is contoured to allow maximum wheel clearance and turning radius.
        • All shock mounts, air spring mounts, and Sway bar mounts are integrated into the design, so you don’t have to finish the engineering in order to enjoy your ride!
    • StrongArms are optimized to allow proper camber adjustment at your new lowered ride height without using a large stack of shims.
  • Front MuscleBar Sway Bar:
    • Most OEM front swaybars were calibrated with tires and cornering loads that were radically less capable than today. We increase the diameter of the swaybar to minimize the body roll through the corners to optimize the handling performance. Includes Delrin bushing to eliminate stiction and allow the swaybar to move freely.
    • Ridetech has upgraded the traditional notion of sway bars with the new MuscleBar™. Using precision CNC tubing benders, investment cast bar ends and billet aluminum frame mounts with low friction bushings.  Ridetech can now produce sway bars with unheard of dimensional and rate accuracy.
    • Billet aluminum frame mounts, anodized black.
    • Low friction frame bushings allow easy and predictable rotation over the stiction of polyurethane or rubber.
    • Precision CNC bent tubing for accurate and repeatable fitment.
    • Investment cast steel bar ends offer performance and appearance improvements over the traditional “beat it flat and punch a hole in it” manufacturing.
    • Easy to install end links with barrel lock nuts to prevent over-tightening.  The bushing contour matches the concave bar end to reduce bind.

  • HQ Series Shockwaves:
    • Uutilize an impact forged aluminum body and Monotube design to deliver excellent ride quality and handling. They allow fine tuning of the ride quality and handling via the rebound adjustment knob, located at the top of the shock for under hood access. They come standard with a 1,000,0001 Mile Warranty.  
  • Rear Bolt-on 4-Link Kit:
    • Ridetech Bolt-On suspension systems for 1970-1981 Camaro / Firebird. Includes a new adjustable rear cradle assembly, double adjustable upper and lower 4-link bars with R-Joints, bolt-on axle brackets, and all necessary hardware and fasteners. 
    • Bolt-On 4 Link greatly improves traction, handling and ride quality. Installation does not require the any major modifications to the floor pan and requires only minimal welding to the axle tube. Works with mini-tubs. The R-Joint rod ends combine the best qualities of low friction movement, lateral stability, full range articulation, and quiet operation into one special bearing that is as home on the street as it is on the racetrack!
    • Lowered stance – approximately 1″- 3″ drop (Adjustable)
    • Eliminates spring wrap / wheel hop
    • Double adjustable upper and lower bars are standard and include R-Joint rod ends
    • Adjustable anti-squat to maximize performance on straight line or through the corners (50% to 100%)
    • Optimized roll center height for confident cornering

  • Currie 9-Plus 9" Ford Notch-Back Rear End with 31 Spline Axles:
    • Currie Crate Rear Ends are designed to be a bolt-in upgrade
    • 9-Plus notchback heavy duty housing
    • 31 Spline performance axle package
    • Built to the stock overall width (61 1/4") and pinion offset specs
      • 61 1/4" is measured outside-of-axle-flange to outside-of-axle-flange, in other words, where the wheel bolts on to where the wheel bolts on
    • Heavy duty reproductions of the stock GM multi leaf spring pads are installed in the stock location for an easy bolt in installation
    • Housing includes all 3rd member studs installed
    • Axles include:
      • Stock 5 x 4 3/4" wheel bolt pattern
      • Wheel studs installed
      • 1/4" Thick heavy-duty bearing retainer plates
      • Tapered Timken style wheel bearings pressed on
    • The Axle flanges on this rear end are the Big Bearing Ford (New Style), also known as "Torino", which fit the Wilwood brakes perfectly
  • Southwest Speed 9" Ford Rear End Third Member with Posi Trac-Loc:
    • This kit comes with a 3.70 ratio gear, which is a good cruising ratio. We have ratios from 3.50 to 5.00 that can be substituted in. If you would like a different ratio besides the 3.70, just make sure to request that.
    • 9" Ford case is reconditioned and sold completely assembled with:
      • New 31 Spline Trac-Loc Posi Unit
        • 4 Pin limited slip trac loc

    • Connects to the Wilwood Parking Brake Assemblies, then comes together to join the stock cable behind the transmission
  • Southwest Speed Chrome Power Brake Booster:
    • 8" dual diaphragm booster
    • Deep chrome finish gives it that show-car look that is guaranteed to catch the eye of the most discriminating enthusiasts
    • We can substitute in a smaller 8" booster with a dual diaphragm, if there is a concern about clearance in the engine compartment, just let us know if you prefer that

      • Wilwood tandem chamber master cylinders represent the latest refinements in brake pressure actuation and fluid control. The exclusive Wilwood features incorporated in this innovative and unique new design make it the perfect choice for a wide range of custom manual or power brake applications.
      • High-pressure die casting of a premium alloy produces a high-capacity body that is lightweight, looks great, and has the durability for competition. A black anodized, machined billet lid captures a pressure balanced bellows gasket with 100% sealing against moisture invasion or fluid leakage.
      • Each master cylinder is configured with full separation between the front and rear reservoir chambers and fluid outlets. There is pressure access on both sides of the piston bore for right or left hand plumbing based on mount location. A total piston stroke of 1.10" is distributed at a 2:1 volume ratio between the primary and secondary chambers.

    • Adjustable Combination Proportioning Valve:
      • Simplifies mounting, fluid circuit plumbing, brake light wiring, and brake bias adjustments on modified, custom built, or competition vehicles equipped with brake system upgrades
      • Maintains full separation between the front and rear fluid circuits
      • Bias proportioning adjustment is provided in the rear fluid circuit
      • The front circuit has a single inlet and two outlets for optional line routing
      • A fluid port with a pressure switch responds instantly to pressure in the front fluid circuit for brake light activation. A wiring pigtail with a protective boot is included with the switch
